About Mitchell

I am a Textile Designer from Clayton, North Carolina with roots in Appalachia. In a search for purpose, I discovered textile design and weaving. I graduated from the Wilson College of Textiles with a Bachelor of Science in fashion and textile design in May of 2020 and am continuing my education at Haywood Community College in the Professional Crafts Program, studying under Amy Putansu. Currently living in Charlotte, NC.

I am currently exploring the physicality and time responsibility of production weaving. I love making large runs of fabric to show the emotion and commitment that goes into my fabric. utilizing my fabric, I try to tell stories about the human condition.
